Machine products include cut to length lines, preparation lines, profiling lines, leak detector and valve hole press lines, and assembly lines. SizTech represents Fontijne Holland in North and South America.

 

It is common for steel wheel manufacturers to refurbish equipment. SizTech is the only company in North and South America to support these requests for Fontijne Holland.

Aerospace components of various materials and with complex geometries

We develop expanding, roll forming, shrinking, and combination shrinking-expanding processes for aerospace components of various materials and with complex geometries. Below is a list of components that can be formed on our machinery:

 

  • jet inlets,
  • outlet nozzles,
  • jet tanks, and
  • forged seamless rolled rings.

 

Seamless rolled rings are critical components for jet turbines and jet engines.

 

SizTech replaces other expensive processes such as press solutions and explosion forming. Conical, round, oval, square, or profiled cylindrical parts can be formed on SizTech equipment. Materials include, but are not limited to, aluminum, titanium, hastelloy, and incoloy.

 

Most aerospace applications are formed cold, but some could require hot forming. Hot forming is necessary when there is a limitation in yield strength at room temperature. We also offer a near net shape solution with roll forming where material will flow into different shapes close to final product dimensions.

 

The processes are designed into our metal forming machinery to achieve tight tolerances and the accuracy required by the aerospace industry. Our machines reduce or eliminate the need for machining; therefore, our customers experience great cost and energy savings.

Large and lightweight parts for the Energy (Forging) Industry

 

We develop expanding and shrinking processes for forming large and lightweight parts, especially forged rings. These are used in the energy industry for wind turbines. Our processes will accurately size the rings as well as improve roundness, material properties in relation to yield strength, and stress relieving. These processes save our customer’s time and material by reducing or eliminating machining. Rolled rings come in various sizes and each process is custom per the application.

 

Forging companies manufacture seamless rolled rings which work well in extreme environments and all-weather conditions. Their applications include

Forming metal components in the Pipe Industry

 

SizTech designs and manufactures innovative solutions for forming pipes and tubes in the pipe industry. These are used e.g. in the oil and gas, nuclear, and construction industry.

 

We develop expanding and shrinking processes for applications such as

 

  • transportation pipe,
  • precision pipe,
  • drilling pipe,
  • seamless and welded pipe, and
  • specifically LSAW pipe.

 

Expanders are great for calibration and forming the complete length of pipe as long as 18 meters and pipe ends. Shrinkers are great for reducing drilling pipe diameters as the tolerances under API are getting tighter. Shrinking is also an excellent solution to improve material properties and the accuracy of the pipe ends. As the market changes, pipes are getting smaller in diameter and wall thicknesses are increasing. Our shrinking process offers a perfect solution.
